What's New in PPM 10.0.3
The following new features and enhancements are introduced in PPM 10.0.3.

PPM-Agile integration enhancements
The following enhancements were added to the PPM-Agile integration.
Specify sync direction for PPM request type and agile entity type mappings |
PPM now supports the following new sync directions for PPM request type and agile entity type mappings:

Test connection with agile tools |
When adding an agile instance for the integration with PPM, you can now test the connection with the agile tool. For details, see Integration with Agile Development Tools. |
Unlink a PPM request from its mapped agile entity |
You can now unlink a PPM request from its mapped agile entity. For details, see Remove an entity mapping. |
Support more field type mappings |
PPM supports more field types for field mappings in the integrations with ALM Octane and Jira. For details, see Supported PPM-Octane field type mappings and Supported PPM-JIRA field type mappings. |
Dashboard enhancements
The following enhancements were added to the Dashboard module.
New display types for self-service portlets |
Two new display types were added for self-service portlets:

New OOTB data source for self-service portlets |
PPM now supplies a new OOTB data source KPIs for self-service portlets, enabling you to display KPI information. For details, see KPIs data source. |
Revamped dashboards for requests, programs, portfolios, and teams |
PPM revamped the dashboards for requests, programs, portfolios, and teams. The revamped version provides more flexibility in resizing portlets and optimizes data views. For details, see Configure dashboard for request types, Program Overview Layout policy, Portfolio overview, and Team Overview. |
Resource Management enhancements
The following enhancements were added to the Resource Management module.
Specify region of a position |
You can now use the Region field to specify the region of a position. For details, see Add positions. |
Search for resources from a specific region to assign |
When assigning resources to staffing profile positions, you can now search for resources from a specific region. For details, see Use the Resource Finder. |
Specify the region PPM uses to calculate forecast cost of a position's unmet demand |
A new server parameter: FM_SP_POSITION_REGION_PRECEDENCE was added. It enables you to specify the precedence of regions that PPM uses to pick up the cost rule when calculating the forecast labor cost of a position's unmet demand. For details, see Server parameters. |
Interactive tooltip supported by staffing profile auto-complete fields |
The interactive tootltip for auto-complete fields, which enables you to interact with listed entities or users, is now also available in staffing profiles. For details, see Enable tooltips for auto-complete fields. |
Administration enhancements
The following enhancements were added to the Administration module.
SAML SSO authentication |
PPM now supports SAML SSO authentication. Users can use SAML SSO to log in to PPM as they do with other SAML SSO applications in the organization. For details, see Set up SAML SSO authentication. |
Easier to view application exceptions

PPM enhanced the Search Exceptions functionality, making it easier for administrators to view application exceptions and troubleshoot problems. For details, see View exceptions. |
Embed external site content in PPM
|
A new server parameter: TRUSTED_EXTERNAL_URLS was added, making it easier to embed content from external web sites in PPM. For details, see Server parameters. |
Team Management enhancements
The following enhancements were added to the Team Management module.
Assignment options for transferred and removed resources
|
When you transfer or remove 100% of a resource's participation from a team, you can now select how PPM deals with the resource's assignment in the current team. For details, see Transfer a resource or sub-team to another team and Remove a resource, unnamed headcount, or sub-team. |
View team overload ratio |
The Heatmap tab now includes the Overload Ratio attribute. It tells you whether your team is overloaded, and how much your team is overloaded. For details, see Heatmap by team/resource. |
Use custom validations for OOTB fields
You can now use custom validations for some OOTB fields.

Project Management enhancements
The following enhancements were added to the Project Management module.
Reset project overview layout to default

As a project manager, you can now reset the project overview layout to use the default layout inherited from the project type. As a PPM administrator, you can now reset the overview layout of all existing projects of a specific project type to use the default layout inherited from the project type. Add portlets to all project dashboards

As a PPM administrator, you can now add one or more portlets to the overview tab of all existing projects of a specific project type. For details, see Add Portlets to All Projects. |
Portfolio Management enhancement
You can now move the contents of a portfolio to another portfolio.

Time Management enhancement
You can now configure the violation of a custom time sheet rule to be ignored so that users can continue to submit time sheets.

Deprecation
The USE_REGION_OF_RESOURCE_POOL _FOR_POSITION_ FORECAST_COST parameter is deprecated. Your settings of this parameter are remembered after the upgrade to 10.0.3. To replace this parameter, you can use the FM_SP_POSITION_REGION_PRECEDENCE parameter to specify which region PPM uses to pick up cost rule when calculating the forecast labor cost of a position's unmet demand.
