What's new

The following new features and enhancements are introduced in 25.2.

Note: The Help Centers for versions 25.1 to 25.2 are streamlined into a single Help Center. Any version-specific changes are indicated where relevant.

This topic describes the new features and enhancements available in 25.2. To view enhancements for version 25.1, see What's new in earlier versions.

What-if Analysis enhancements

The following enhancements are added to What-if Analysis.

Track portfolio updates synced to associated scenarios

A new Portfolio Changes pane is now available on the scenario details page, from which you can:

  • Track portfolio updates synced to the scenario. Previously, these updates were not available.
  • Manually sync portfolio updates to the scenario whenever needed.

Enhanced what-if analysis

When performing what-if analysis, you can now:

  • Add temporary content as placeholders for what-if simulations without creating actual entities.
  • Add projects and proposals not yet included in a portfolio into the scenario. To add such projects and proposals, your admin must first specify them as potential candidates for the portfolio.

What-if template enhancements

The following updates are introduced for what-if templates:

  • In the Ranking View widget, you can now specify how Number (formula) field results are displayed, as whole numbers or with two decimal places.
  • For charts using the Sum of aggregation method, you can now specify how values are distributed across scenario time periods, evenly distributed or as a whole without distribution.

Portfolio Management enhancements

The following enhancements are added to the Portfolio Management module.

Enhanced strategic alignment

When aligning portfolio initiatives with strategic themes and business goals, you can now select those not only from the current portfolio but also from the parent portfolio and all parent portfolios up to the root in the portfolio hierarchy.

To use this feature, turn on the new Strategic Theme and Business Goal Alignment Across Portfolio Levels feature toggle.

Mass update on multiple portfolio backlog items

You can now update multiple portfolio backlog items of the same type simultaneously, instead of modifying each one individually. This improves efficiency and streamlines the update process.

Filter backlog items by name

When searching for backlog items on a portfolio's Backlog tab, you can now use the Name filter to find items by keywords in their name.

PPM Chatbot updates

The following enhancements are added to PPM Chatbot:

  • It can now be powered by an embedded natural language processing model, delivering faster responses and a smoother user experience.

  • You can now use the kMigratorExtract.sh and kMigratorImport.sh scripts to migrate intents from one instance to another.

Usability enhancements

The following usability enhancements are added.

Streamlined user experience for table components and landing pages configurations

The Table Component in request details and the Configure Landing Pages page now have a refreshed and modern look, providing a more intuitive user experience.

Configuration Advisor usability enhancements

The Configuration Advisor page is more user-friendly:

  • Recommendation details are displayed in cards, ensuring all information is visible at a glance without scrolling.
  • Recommendation steps include direct links to the configuration pages for feature toggles and server parameters, enabling you to do adjustments easily.

Responsive cells in self-service portlet grid table

Cells in self-service portlet grid table now automatically wrap long text, improving readability and display.

Resource Management enhancements

The following enhancements are added to the Resource Management module.

Share a team with all

A new Share with all option is available for team sharing. You can use this option to share a team or specific team members with all projects in the system. Once shared, the shared resources can be assgined to any project staffing profile.

Include promised allocation in Roadmap tab

The Roadmap tab now also displays team's promised allocations to various entities, providing full visibility into team allocations.

Staffing Profile Statistics data source updates

The predefined Staffing Profile Statistics data source now includes more filter options. You can filter data by position and custom fields from the staffing profile's associated project, proposal, or asset.

To enable filtering by custom fields, admins must first add the relevant fields as data source fields in the Staffing Profile Statistics data source.

Platform enhancements

The following enhancements are added to the Platform module.

Increased character limit for Numeric and Currency fields

Numeric and Currency fields now support up to 30 characters, allowing you to enter larger numbers or currency values.

Add multiple attachments at a time

You can now select and add multiple files at a time when attaching documents as references to an entity.

Administration enhancements

The following enhancements are added to the Administration module.

Configure side navigation menu style

You can now configure the side navigation menu using the following options:

  • Position main menu items at the top of the screen.
  • Select colors for menu items and icons in the masthead.

Export and import theme configurations

You can now save theme configurations as a JSON file and import them into another instance.

License expiration notification

You can now use the new License Management Service to configure PPM to send email notifications for license expiration. You can specify the recipients, how many days before expiration to send the notification, and how often to resend it.

Request Management enhancements

The following enhancements are added to the Request Management module.

Prevent unintended timestamp updates of requests

Admins can now use the new IS_REQUEST_UPDATED_WHEN_REFERENCED_TASK_CHANGES parameter to control whether a request's Last Update Date is modified when a related task or milestone is updated.

Improved error messages

Error messages on the request details now also include links to missing mandatory fields in table components, making it easier to locate and complete required information.
